day 297, McJamos in a trio for a transfer

Well transfers are this week... I will be staying with Hermana R, and coming to us is Hermana M. We will be in a trio!!! WOOHOO :) back with my baby who I trained :) we will be together for 7 weeks, and we will be combining areas... sooo we will be covering over all of Vancouver.. Its HUGE!!! It will be an awesome transfer! we are praying and working to have some baptisms!!! this will be a busy transfer :) I am excited to continue teaching the people we have been working with here, but excited I also get to work with the people in my previous area. this is a huge blessing! fun fact... something has happened to me every transfer of my mission so far... hopefully that doesn't change ;)

well it was a fantastic week,

Monday night last week the elders came with us to give one of our investigators, S, a blessing of comfort. it was awesome, we had a little visit and lesson with her.. then we went out side and... it was snowing!!! my favorite woohoo. I was so happy, I love the snow!

Tuesday I was on exchanges with Hermana P and she came to my area, it was fun and awesome to be with her again! we taught S about justice and mercy, it was a cool lesson! she accepted a date for baptism, January 11th!!!!!! she is so prepared, and she said she craves the gospel. she loves when we visit her and teach her, she thinks about it all the time! the spirit was so strong in that lesson and I was like on the edge of the couch testifying to her and she was glowing with the spirit :)

Wednesday we went to go contact a referral but they didn't live their any more, so we decided to knock a couple of doors... nada. we tracted into a guy who got mad and said no soliciting(even though we aren't soliciting) and as we walked around the corner he was there by the trashcan, so we turned and walked a different way.. then we knocked the door farthest away, and surprise, a Spanish speaking family!!! they just moved here 3 months ago from salt lake city and they aren't members.. WHAT!!! we got so excited!!!

Thursday we taught a lesson to a part-member English/Spanish family, we brought with us a member. it was such an interesting lesson... the family had their grandpa visiting and he was so funny, but we couldn't teach because he loved to talk! it was an interesting lesson to say the least hahaha it was tough because the family wanted to learn so bad!! next time we will pray for a better lesson.

Friday  we listened to Elder Corbridge, from the area 70 speak to us... I took notes and what I got out of that was to teach people and not just lessons. awesome too this night the lady we taught 2 weeks ago in McDonalds is on date for baptism on jaunary 25th, woohoo! we had some cool miracles this night tracting and finding awesome families!!

Saturday the elders had a baptism so we brought investigators! a family that we are teaching are related to the lady who got baptized, so it was cool :)

Sunday was awesome! S came to church with her kids and they loved it!! they stayed all 3 hours and it was great :) she understood most things and has a couple questions we are going by tomorrow to answer and teach, pray for us because this she is so ready!!!

well yes, it was a great week of awkward, funny, and sad moments. also many miracles, as always! I am so grateful to be a missionary at this time in this area! it will be a great transfer with great miracles to come! love you all, feliz navidad! Ill see my family next week on Skype!!

Feliz dia del pavo

Happy day of the turkey everyone :) haha or in English, Happy Thanksgiving!! This week is a great week to take a little time to remember then blessing we have in our life! 

hmm.... well, i just had to take this picture for my future kids when one day they say "wow mom, you werent able to use facebook on your mission?"  Capture the moment.

It was interesting what i heard from someone last night... We were knocking doors last night to reach our goal of talking to 70 new people this week(and the first time ever on my mission we accomplished it!!) 1 man we talked to last night expressed his gratitude for the things that he has in his life, especially the savior. he said to us "i am grateful for so many other things, i could talk to you all day about what i am grateful for!" WE truly are a blessed generation to have so many things in our life today! As this week is here me and thousands of other missionaries will being using Facebook as a daily thing.. no not to get distracted about things at home, but to help those at home and those where we are serving. I am super excited to be apart of all these crazy changes!!!!! This is an amazing time.... Just as The Lord promised in Doctrine and Covenants 88:73 "Behold I will hasten my work in its time." That time is now. It is a blessing to be here on the earth, we all agreed to come down at this time to help our brothers and sister, to lift and strengthen each other! Another commandment that was given in Doctrine and Covenants 88: 77 "and I give unto you a commandment that you shall teach one another the doctrine of the kingdom." I don't think we realize all these other commandments that God has revealed to us through the restoration of the gospel! ahh the scriptures are so true!!!! I can never read enough of them! We must teach our friends, family, neighbors, strangers, everyone! they must know about this gospel and what they can have!

Well the time is quickly passing here and i cant pause it :/ I am so grateful to be here, I actually enjoy being busy for 16 hours of the day, every day, being out in the cold freezing, but being filled inside with the spirit :) I love talking to people about Jesus Christ, our Savior!! I love expressing my love and gratitude for him! even when people don't accept our message of the TRUE restored gospel at least we can all agree about the Savior.  

well we have had some great miracles this week :) since my companion is a sister training leader and she has to go on exchanges with other sisters a lot, i get to do it with her :) so this week i got to be with my old companion Hermana V in her new area!!! it was so great and fun :) i also brought out an english sister with me to my spanish area. we talked with 24 new people that day and taught 4 lessons! my brain was so full i felt like my head was about to fall off! it was an amazing week here in Vancouver Washington :)

Just one week? That felt like a year!

Hola mi familia y amigos! WOW what a crazy week!

8 months this week!!!!!!!!

Lots of things happened both in the Spanish and English world!

un milagro de un hombre ingles: we were walking on the street back to our car, i noticed a guy sitting on the bench at the bus stop. so i said lets take the crosswalk and talk to this guy.. so we did, at first it was awkward, but after a couple minutes we hit it off well.. His name is B.., he has had a rough life recently. he was so open and honest about the bad decisions he has made in his life that have lead him recently to changing and searching for a church... (hmm what a coincidence!) I talked with him about the church, he read a little bit of the book of Mormon before!!! awesome :) even though B.. doesn't speak Spanish we gave him our number and gave him times of church services.... we didn't think anything would happen. he texted us Sunday morning 30 mintues before the english ward started and said he is on his was to church. we freaked out and called the english elders right away to tell them about him!! we rushed to church since we have correlation at 11 with our ward mission leader.. the elders found B and brought him inside the chapel.... after sacrament we saw B.. and he looked so happy, we then realized this Sunday was the primary program. BAHAHAAH!!!! well B.. texted us this morning and said he loved church :) we pray and hope he comes again! even though we cant teach him because he is english, we are all working for the same team, the Lords team!...... after this experiences i realized that "WOW, if we didn't take the cross walk to go and talk to him, he never would have known about the church so soon!" ah what a miracle <3

un milagro de una mujer espanol: missionaries have been working with a wonderful family!! love them so much. A.. has been taught so many things and we don't know why she isn't baptized! she has only been to church once with the other missionaries... we talked and Hermana K.. that was with us said some amazing things that A.. needed to hear... :) Miracle... A.. CAME TO CHURCH!!!!!!! finally after some hard work, faith, and patience we got her to church.. it was literally a miracle i was so shocked..  and sacrament was perfect! they talked about temples and A.. sat by Hermana k.. and after sacrament she said they are going to see the temple and visitors center this week.. WHAT!!!!! i am so shocked :D it was so exciting, i couldn't stop smiling all day at church.

un milagro yo no puedo explicar!!!: There is an amazing member here Sister T.., i think i talked about her before.. she is an amazing member missionary. I love her oh so much! We were with her one night to visit her neighbor, but they weren't home... she was hungry and asked if she could grab a bite to eat... i thought sure why not. so we drove with her and she said "here hand me a book of mormon!" we pull up to the window for her to pay and she straight up asks the girl working if she goes to church! i thought WOW how will she give her a book of Mormon in a couple of seconds? but she did it and got a Book of Mormon in her hands!!! so cool :) we then drove away and there was a guy walking on the sidewalk and sister t.. called him over and asked if he had heard of the Book of Mormon.. then she got one into his hands too... 2 books of Mormon in about 5 minutes, i was amazed!!! Sister T.. is amazing, i asked her how she is so brave to do that! she said, and i will never forget it, "Well what's the worst that could happen.. they shoot me? then i'll just go to the Celestial kingdom!" HAHAHAAHA great words of advice :) She give us the best advice and she is an amazing example! She always says "there is only 2 ways you can be, happy or miserable"... and of course i want to be happy!  no matter what we go through or what happens, we can choose what to be!

Well yes it again has been a rough week and defiantly a huge trial of my small faith. I am sad to miss my brother's farewell and departure for Chile, but i love him so much and wish him the best of luck. Chile will love him dearly! This work is not easy, but it is amazing.

I LOVE being a Missionary ~ Whoop

Woop Woop! what the heck, 7 months this week. Whaaaat! I love the mission!!! We had some amazing tender mercies this week, the branch here is amazing! The rain is amazing as well. gah one thing i have always struggled with is spelling.... and now that i am continuing to focus on learning spanish, it doesnt help my English! i cant speak or spell very well in english bahahahah so so sad! but at the same time i love spanish, it is so much easier to say things in spanish! i am still not fluent yet, but i am some what comfortable. well here are some miracles and tender mercies this week:

Tuesday the elders had set up a lesson for us with a young mother, G, they had met a couple days ago.. they told us to come with them, and they brought a member from the branch. We showed up, knocked the door, and nothing... so we decided to try two other doors... nothing. the elders felt so bad, especially since a member was with us! so us hermanas had a prompting to go and knock the door of G again. We did, and she answered! She is very young, like about my age and has a kid. at first nothing was happening at the door. But some how Hermana R (the member from the ward) was able to get us in the door! Ahh it was so perfect! first time for us meeting this girl and the first lesson.. her and Hermana R connected so well! We shared a scripture with her Alma 7:15... she loved it and felt the spirit.. THEN we invited her to be baptized, she said yes! so we put her on date :) WOOP WOOP! it was such a powerful lesson with her!

Wednesday around 2:30 we went to visit 2 potential families that the hermanan before us left for us to try... so we went to the building and knocked on door .. we were expecting a spanish speaking family, but rather we found a family that knew little english from Micronesia.. WHAT!! long story short, the dad was baptized in Micronesia with his family when he was about 11.. so crazy! its sad to say that he is active in another church though :/ but his son asked us to come over again to share a message with him. so we hope something happens! well after that we tried door #, again expecting to find a spanish speaking family... but an old man opens the door.. knowing little english lets us in right away! He cleans off the couch and tells us to sit, he gets his 2 cousins/brothers and tells them to come in! haha this family was from the pacific islands by Guam.. what!! wow crazy!! We talked with them a little bit, one of the guys J (who laughed becuase he has a hispanic name but is not hispanic) has heard of the church before.. he works on a boat half of the year and work with a guy from Utah who is LDS.. J said he remembers watching his friend read a "book" every night and pray all the time.. he finally asked him about the church, his friend talked to him just a little bit. Well we gave J a book of mormon, read a little with him and prayed with him.. he got so interested in the Book he said he will take it on the boat with him!! And he will talk to his friend from utah! wow, little miracle there :) Lesson learned for EVERY member of the church, ALWAYS be a good example becuase SOMEONE is watching, and hey you could change their life without even knowing it :)

Thursday we had a little miracle of finding the home of a woman that Sister T and sister A (wives of the mission presidency) talked to one morning.. there was an appointment set up at the church with this woman but she never showed up :/ and we didnt have an address or phone number, just a street to tract till we found her. well we did that, and with the help of the spirit we found her!! she was so cute and friendly! we hope to begin teaching her soon :) Thursday night we had the amazing opportunity to talk to so many people about the church. It makes my day when people ask who we are or what we are doing.. it creates such an amazing way to talk to them!

friday, satruday, and sunday were great days too! I didnt write in my journal what happened those days, and i dont ahve time to email what happened. haha but the work still continues!

Well we have on amazing investigator B that said she wants to watch general conference with us! woop woop :) so excited about that! she is AMAZING, she is not on date for baptism but we plan on that changing very soon ;)

I KNOW i am called of God through a living prophet.. I KNOW i was called to speak spanish, even though i am in America and i dont speak it perfectly... its so difficult when people complain to me or judge me because my spanish isnt perfect. its difficult to learn something while you are teaching yourself and speaking it that day!! I know that those who want to hear of this gospel in spanish are out there and waiting.. whether i speak it perfect or not i know they are waiting :) I just need to find them! Being a missionary has taught me to have so much patience and trust... in my self, in The Lord, and in my companion. I love having success and feeling success as a missionary. I pray and hope for many miracles this week, but i have to go find them.. Love you all so much, thank you for everything! BYE!

Amazing Week! ~ "AH HA" Missionary Moment

MMMMM yummy, 6 months and i finally got me some Chipotle!! YUM! with my missionary stomach i ate the Whole thing clean!

AHHHHH this week was AWESOME!! I finally had my missionary "ah ha" moment where it just clicked of why i am a missionary and why i am here. I love this gospel! I love being a missionary, it is the scariest thing ever!! Its worse than door to door sales, why? because you aren't selling anything, you are giving something FREE that you know EVERYONE needs... and when people don't accept it you cry because you know that THIS gospel is the only way anyone can return to live in the presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.  I see and experience many miracles that i can't keep track!

One amazing miracle this week was finding a less-active/part member family... it was Tuesday night around 8:20 and we had nothing, so we thought we should go and knock these 5 apartment doors that i have bee thinking about for the past couple days.. The first door we didn't even need to knock because it was open! There was an adorable Spanish family sitting on the couch watching TV, at first we felt intruding, but the mom quickly got up to come talk to us... After we told her who we were she had said she is a member of our church... but she hasn't gone to church for almost 20 years! WOW what a miracle that we found her, and she knows it! she wanted us to come and share a message with her and her family, so she told us a day and time on Thursday.. We had the appointment on Thursday and she was so cute, she got baptized in Tijuana. She wants to come to church, but its hard because she is a 24 hour care giver on Sundays :/ we told her to pray and ask your father in heaven to help you come to church, and we promised her that he would help her if she has the desire to go! she was so nice and happy to see us, she asked us to come back over again :) sadly she couldn't make it to church :/ but we are going to ask her this week if she would like us to come and teach her and her kids once a week!

Tuesday we also had an AMAZING zone conference!!! Ah it was all perfect :)

MIRACLE NUMBER TWO, the family i talked about last week, with the referral for T (who moved) well we have been teaching the dad R and the daughter M he pretty much was begging to read the book of Mormon and to find the truth and to come to church!! he and his little girl said about 5 times that they want to come to church!!! So Sunday morning before church we stopped by and they said "we are going to shower and then we will come to church!" they were so excited and happy :) well we waited all 3 hours of church and they never showed up :/ or they did but left.. we have no idea but we will find out why when we visit them this week!

MIRACLE NUMBER THREE, We found an adorable little family that moved here about 4 weeks ago, i mentioned them last week.. B. Well we visited her for our appointment on Thursday and she wasn't home.. we were so sad! so we left a note, and walked around the trailer park for 10 minutes (there was obviously a reason Heavenly Father did that because we found a man named J and gave him a Book of Mormon and talked to him!!).. we were about to leave but  felt prompted to go back and try one more time.. We did, and we found her home!!! she was soo excited to see us, she said she has been thinking about us and waiting for us!!!! we had to go to dinner but we set us to visit her right after dinner... so we ate, and came back. she was so cute and excited, she had her book of Mormon, and she read a little bit! She knows it applies to her because she loved the first few chapters talking about faith and the story of Lehi's family and Nephi. we taught her the Restoration and she understood most of it! She told us ever since she met us she has felt peace and tranquility in her life :) She said she really wants to come to church, but might be out of town this weekend :/ Well Saturday night we called her... she said she could come!!!! AHHHH I started crying!!!! we quickly set up a ride for her to come to church, and her and her 3 kids came to church!!!!! They stayed all 3 hours and loved it. B was agreeing and understanding the classes :) AHH it was an amazing Sunday :) 

MIRACLE NUMBER FOUR, Saturday night around 8:00 we were out walking around and found a family of 7 outside, we talked with them and asked if we could come by again. Even though they are catholic we aren't giving up!! We walked the corner and met an adorable couple and a friend! the friend M immediately started talking to us said "hey are you churchins? do you have something i can read?" we gave him a Book of Mormon and then he asked "awesome thank you so much!! I need to go to church tomorrow, when and where is it?" we gave him all the info and then Immediately called the english elders and told them!! we hope and prayed that M went to church!

Well It was an amazing week filled with SOO many miracles!!!! all we have to do is pray for the opportunities and Heavenly Father will give them, but THEN we must talk to everyone!!!

WOW The Week Went By Fast ~ I'm gonna pop some TAGS!

Ash we have been out 198 days!!... but whose counting? hahaha LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!  I am roommates with B M family friend, companions to A M cousin, B D cousin is serving in the same stake as me and A cousin serves in my stake also in the English zone (we play soccer on pdays). All from back home.  Small world!

hahaha we were in a trailer park about to go visit people, and out of nowhere these pony's and an alpaca came up to us! BAH it scared us!!

Well this week was amazing, we had some progress with investigators that have been being taught for a couple months. First off, we have someone on date for baptism on October 5th. WOOHOO! she is awesome and totally understands why she wants to be baptized! We invited her to stake conference and she said she wants to go! too bad her ride fell through Saturday night :/ but she wants to come to church! Well i want to share some little miracles happening here in Vancouver for my companion and I :)

Wednesday we were out around 2:00pm visiting some old teaching record in the area book... not many people were home :/ as we were about to walk by a trailer i felt prompted we should go knock this door... we knocked once, no answer, the second time she answered! it was a young mom home with her baby.... after a couple minutes at the door she let us in to share a message. For some reason this visit felt super different... we just talked to this woman B and got to know her and understand her and her family... she just moved here 3 weeks ago, she doesn't know anyone, and she doesn't know where to go to church... Her husband is okay with his wife going to church with the kids... We talked about faith with her and prayer... This woman has so little but so much faith! She is AMAZING! We read out of the Book of Mormon with her. She told us she actually went to the LDS church twice before and she talked to her friend(who is Mormon) a little bit about the church! We invited her to church for THIS Sunday and she said she will come, and she wants to hear more! AHHH we are so excited to teach her :)

This same day my companion felt prompted to go back to a door we knocked on last week. This home is a Jehovah Wittiness home... My comp said "i may sound crazy but just follow and trust me" i said "ok! we go two by two." so she approached the door and testified to the lady about the book of Mormon! my comp said "I'm not here to argue with you, I am simply here to share my testimony about the Book of Mormon with you because i forgot to last week...." AHH My companion is so brave and strong!! We work so well together, we teach and testify so strong!

Another cool story. We received a referral on Friday after dinner... It was to visit T. So we visited the address but Tanya had just moved back to El Salvador... Aww man :/ well we decided to start talking to the men outside... after a couple minutes they opened up about questions they had! after a LONG conversation the man R and his daughter M invited us back over! So sunday night we visited them... They were amazing! we taught about sacrament and Joseph Smith.. mostly answering questions they had.. then awe found out that R had gone to the LDS church like 3 times before AND he has a book of Mormon in his garage!!! he said "i was always confused what that book was.. and now i realize maybe i should just read it." Hermana and I looked at each other, smiled and both testified of the book of Mormon and of Joseph Smith. The spirit was SO strong! M loved the visit and R did too! we asked if we could come over to share more and they both said yes, with a big smile!!! We invited both of them to start reading the book of Mormon and told them that we would talk more about the amazing scriptures in it :) We are so excited to go back over and bring a member and get him and the family to church!

Everything here is amazing, i Love teaching to people and talk so openly to people about what I believe. It makes me grow more and more each day by hearing the good and the bad. because when I start to question something I read my scriptures and pray to heavenly Father and eventually always fine an answer :)

One amazing thing I have learned on my Mission by teaching other people is to put myself in their shoes, teach them what they really need to hear.. and when i invite investigators to do something, i need to do the same.

I have really felt the gift of tongues so strong!!! I can have a conversation with people, understand(most of the time) but i am working on responding to them.. Its amazing how much the Lord has allowed me to learn in such a short amount of time. I love my Savior and i love my family. I am so thankful for all the blessings I receive as a Missionary. I love you all so much.

Amazing Miracle Week

1st Birthday in Mission Field.  "20"

Hola mi familia!!!!!!

I miss and love everyone so much. Hope all is well :) this week was amazing! 

Monday was a fun day, we went and got a bunch of candy and cupcakes and a pinata for our zone. It was a fun day celebrating my birthday early.  Thanks again for all the gifts.

Love the V Family so much!  They made my birthday extra special.  Me & my companions Hermana V & Hermana S.

We also had a young woman come with us for the night to go teach a couple lessons. We taught a cute girl named C, she is super interested and wants to grow her faith closer to the savior. We taught her the Restoration and committed her to read in the Book of Mormon, we also invited her to baptism and she said yes! It was a cool experience. We also went to visit our recent convert C.  Well we had an amazing lesson with him, crying and all. C was so humble, he was crying.  Now one amazing thing that our tripanionship has is we don't push things on people, BUT we are very bold in asking questions and inviting.

Tuesday we had an AWESOME lesson with a woman named P who lives in White Salmon. There are little spanish neighborhoods, but it is not what you think neighborhoods are... its very different. Well I feel like i should share the amazing story about P.

P is a woman Hermana A and I trackted into in April when spanish missionaries first came here. P showed no instest, so we left her alone... 6 weeks later in the end of May when Hermana V first came here with me, we decided to visit P. Again she showed no interest. Well, just recently the english elders in White Salmon had some changes.. but they were visiting one of their investigators (who is P's neighbor), they were outside and saw a lady, they had a prompting to go and talk to her. They talked and gave her un Libro de Mormon. They told us to go visit a lady who was very interested... so we went and visited her on Saturday, and we laughed when finding out the woman they had talked to was P! P let us in her home RIGHT away and was so excited to hear a message!! we taught her La Restauracion, she lost her Libro de Mormon, so we gave her another one.. We got a return appointment 4 days later on Tuesday.. WELL we got in and to our surprise P had read ALL the way to Mosiah in El libro de Mormon!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! We became so excited and couldn't wait to share more! We taught her El Plan de Salvation AND we invited her to baptism.. she said "Si! Cuando?(yes! when?)" we all looked at each other shocked, we said "tendremos un servicio de bautismal el 21 de sieptembre!(we will be holding a baptismal service the 21st of september)" P looked at her calender and said "OK! a que hora?(ok what time?)" we said "cuando usted quiere(when you want to!), como a las 7?(how about 7?)" she said YES!! AHHH we are super excited and I hope to be here for her baptism.. she truly is and was being prepared... I know there is a time and place for EVERY one on this earth to choose to listen and accept this gospel :)

Other than that, we had amazing miracles.. we were tracting one day around 1-4(which normally is a horrible time to tract) BUT we ended up getting 3 lessons in a row! door after door! haha my brain was fried jumping between english and spanish all day long :)

ALSO, remember the man i met in Safeway my very first night here? and how he approached me and Hermana A? WELL... after 4 months of trying, we FINALLY got a lesson with him!!!! He is a less active and we want to get him back to church NOW! so that is a start of something new :)

Early Birthday Celebrations!

Our tri-panionship.  The 2 Hermanas that I am training. They are amazing.  

Well this week was ALL a blur!!!!! We got a few new investigators this week, they are all very interested!! So many little miracles i cant even explain! Well still no one coming to church :/ but we are doing our best, even going with members to go pick up our investigators for church. This is a short email this week because i don't even remember what all happened! we continue to teach amazing lessons in spanish and english. little by little we improve our teaching and expand our knowledge of what and how to teach people.

I got all 3 birthday packages last week at our Sisters training... i opened them.. hahaha :) sorry i couldnt wait!!! saturday we will be working so i wanted to open them asap! we laughed so hard when i opened the bottel of RANCH! We are having a party as a zone today so i get to use all the stuff you sent me:)there are only 13 of us, plus an elder couple.. so a total of 15. we want to celebrate and party today! Thank you also to everyone who continues to send me love and those that sent me a little birthday surprise and other things!!!  :)

My Birthday Boxes :)

Little miracles this week, like getting in to teach certain people that never showed interest before. Planting MANY little seeds of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I learned many things this week. most importantly is that we dont always see the fruits of our labor... just as we plant a seed, me may not see the tree grow. or we may not see the fruit begin to grow. all that is important is to plant seeds every where any time. You never know what the future holds :) 

Don't be afraid to be you! be who you are while being a representative of Jesus Christ. we all have different identities and ways to learn and teach and grow. no one is exactly the same, which is why everyone is assigned to serve a mission EXACTLY where they need to be. A mission is for us to grow and learn. we all make mistakes in this life. I am thankful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ that i can try and try and continue to try to be better. 

Well time to enjoy the rest of P-day.. we are going to make cupcakes and celebrate my brithday early with my Zone! and then we all get back to work haha. We are going to have a pinata and use all the  birthday decor I got in the mail.  Sorry I opened all my birthday gifts! I couldnt wait :)  I love everything.

Time is going by so fast. i come home in 1 year... WOW!  keep working and keep serving!  Cant wait we are listening to Elder Holland come and speak to us August 24th!

Found & Felt many People

WOO HOO!!! 5 MONTHS OUT!!! This week was awesome! We found 2 new investigators this week!!! One in Hood River Oregon and another in White Salmon Washington! 

Well for p-day last week we got to watch The Other Side of Heaven and made cookies, loved it :) 

Wednesday we taught a neighbor of a member. Her name is M, she is very Catholic so it was hard to teach her a lesson about The Restoration of the gospel. But the spirit calmed her and we were able to teach a powerful lesson and give her a Book of Mormon!! I have felt the gift of tongues so strong recently, with listening and speaking in spanish!

We also had a miracle, i went on splits with a young woman from our ward and we went tracting, her and I. We ended up talking and teaching a man on the street about the church! It was in english, but the man was a bit not very nice. But the spirit testified so strong and allowed a powerful testimony and lesson to be taught to this man. The young woman that was with me became excited and nervous to eventually want serve a mission :) 

Thursday we found a new investigator after tracting forever!!!!!  L let us in right away and we began teaching her. She is very interested and she is interested in learning more :) 

Friday we got out of the car to begin tracting, and the first person we meet is the brother of a member from our church. It was so funny how Heavenly Father had placed him exactly in our path! we talked to him for a little bit but he had to go, but he was excited to see us and asked where we have been and why we havent come over to teach him?! Well a few second later another person walks out of the house, U, a man we found a couple weeks ago!! he was excited to see us too and he also asked why we havent come over to teach him! AHHH well we obviously realized we need to get over their to teach them ASAP!!

So lets say we have found and felt MANY people that we need to visit this week!!! YAY for more work and people to teach!!

At church yesterday I learned so much! I came to realize that we are not perfect, no one is perfect... Heavenly Father is very patient because all he has to work with are imperfect people! WE are ALL he has to work with, so don't give up! keep learning and keep working the best you can :)

Awkward moments this week: I locked the keys in the car...... poor Elder Soper had to drive all the way from Vancouver to come unlock our car! THANK YOU!!!

We went to go contact a referral we received... well it led us to a members home.. nope, J doesnt live their.. so we decided to try the neighbors. We are about to knock on the door but we see 2 men sitting outside talking, so we deiced to go and ask them. well awkward, around the corner a couple feet a way was a group of people quietly sitting in a circle... we dont know what the heck was going on, all we saw was a table with a cross on it.. OOPS! we awkwardly asked "ustedes sabe un mujera J?" haha well they said no, and then we quickly left!
